Winchester historians, Brian Bayliss and Becky Ebert, will lead a trolley tour in Clarke County and Winchester focusing on sites relating to Revolutionary War hero, Daniel Morgan.

Daniel Morgan is to be remembered as one of the most American combat leaders during the American Revolution – an excellent tactician, superb leader of men, and outstanding light infantry commander.

There will be stops at the Burwell-Morgan Mill in Clarke County and the Daniel Morgan Home in Winchester. There will be an Open House with a guided tour at the Daniel Morgan Home. This is a rare opportunity to see the home where he lived for the last few years of his life and where he died.

The tour will start and end at the Winchester-Frederick County Visitors Center, 1400 S. Pleasant Valley Road.

Lunch will not be served, so pack a lunch to enjoy on the grounds of the Burwell-Morgan Mill.

Accessibility: The Burwell-Morgan Mill and the Daniel Morgan Home have a few stairs required for entrance.

Cost is $25.00.
