As a signature event of the VA250 commemoration, LibertyFest transforms Abingdon into a living history experience. Centered at the historic Muster Grounds, part of the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail, and historic Main Street, this four-day festival features historical interpreters, colonial-inspired food and drink, family activities, educational programming (including a Lecture Series), and live music. The event celebrates Southwest Virginia's vital role in the fight for independence.
