July 4 at the fair will feature the annual ringing of the city bell by the DAR, a costumed interpreter of General Andrew Lewis discussing the battle of Gwynn's Island, viewing of theshow and Fireworks display from Williamsburg beginning at 8 PM, and the annual Salem Fair fireworks show beginning around 9:30 PM
July 5 will again feature General Lewis and his talks
