The Louisa County Historical Society will host a unique Old Homes Tour on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Boswell's Tavern in Historic Green Springs. Commemorating the 250th anniversary of American Independence, this event celebrates not only the spirit of the Revolution, but also the importance of preserving and sharing Louisa's local history for future generations.

Guests can opt for two different experiences. Participants can purchase daytime tour tickets or tickets to an immersive fundraising dinner at Boswell's Tavern.

Day Tour Only tickets are $15. This includes a guided tour of the Tavern and will be offered at 12, 1, 2, and 3. Spaces are limited!

Dinner at the Tavern will transport guests to the Revolutionary War through period-inspired food, music, and interpretation. This event will begin at 4:30 with cocktails and tavern games on the lawn, followed by a period-inspired dinner, colonial music, dance lessons, and a silent-auction. Guided tours of the Tavern will be offered throughout the evening.

Individual Ticket: $125

Couples Ticket: $225

Table Sponsor: $1,250, each sponsor receives 8 tickets to distribute to their selected guests

A portion of evening ticket expenses are considered tax-deductible gifts supporting the Louisa County Historical Society.

PLEASE NOTE: This tour features a historic structure that is not handicap accessible. Dinner will be served on the lawn; please wear appropriate shoes.

Dinner attire is business casual.
