Pride and Protest: Carytown Neighborhood Walking Tour (Pay-What-You-Will)

About

Join us for a special Pay-What-You-Will tour of Carytown! Explore the history of Richmond’s "mile of style" on this walking tour of the Carytown neighborhood. In addition to being a vibrant business district, Carytown is beloved for the businesses, people and places that have supported Richmond’s LGBTQ+ community from the 1970’s to the present.

After the Tour: Enjoy 10% off your purchase at Carytown’s iconic vintage store Bygones, in business since 1979.

Advanced tickets are required. Tickets are non-refundable.
Valentine walking tours are typically between 1-2 miles in length. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.
Accessibility: People of all abilities are encouraged to join us. If we can do anything to accommodate your needs, please let us know in advance by emailing tours@thevalentine.org.
Tours are held rain or shine. However, in extreme weather, a tour may be cancelled. Notifications about tour status and cancellation will be sent to registrants via email. You can also call 804-649-0711 x 301 to verify a tour will take place.
The Valentine’s walking tours are supported in part through a generous partnership with Richmond Region Tourism.
