A Charlottesville summer holiday tradition, the 43rd Annual Kiwanis Independence Day 5K Run-Walk will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 7:30 am, at Lakeside Middle School in the Forest Lakes neighborhood. Proceeds this year will benefit three amazing local children’s charities: Central Little League, Salvation Army Camp Rappahannock, and Charlottesville Community Bikes.
